There are many such shacks lining the beach front, selling soft drinks and tea. U wont get a wholesome meal here, but whatever it is is enuf for a lazy day on the beach. You can also get a made to order meal by booking in advance for a particular day.

We were spending most of our time on this beach in Anjuna, so we made sure we had a mouthful to eat when we come out of water.

This small hole near the now defunct petrol bunk of calangute turns into a pleasing open air restaurant at nite. Good service with reasonably priced food to suit all nationalities and "Brits" aswell.

Favorite Dish: I had dinner twice here and though the egg fried rice was spicy, it was still quite tasty. I also liked the veg american chopsuey, lotsa veggs for a meat eater like me.

Beef, mutton, chicken, u name it they have it. aND all of it halal. Located in mapusa, this restaurant drove us all the way from calangute not just b cos it had gr8 taste, but mainly b cos it served halal food.

Halal food is hard to find in Goa, something I take for granted in my hometown Hyderabad. So when we got tired of eating vegs, we headed straight to mapusa for some meaty stuff.

Favorite Dish: Chicken rolls, rotis, chicken masala, chicken biryani is also okay (no one can beat we hyderabadi's at that). Tandoori chicken is the best of it all.

  • Restaurant Name: SEAFOOD

Set in the gardens of the Taj Holiday Village, in the shade of a 300-year-old banyan tree and surrounded by a shimmering fish pond, this restaurant serves superb Thai food, such as coconut seafood soup and green papaya salad. The seafood dishes use fresh local fish and shellfish: try the poo gathi, river crabmeat in a spicy curry sauce. Every year, the restaurant brings in a chef from Thailand to refresh its menu.
