Lisbon is a beautiful city. A portuguese friend of mine told me that in Lisbon the light is white: true.
Lisbon is built on 7 hills like Rome and Istanbul. You will need to take "electricos" (trams) to go up and donw of the city. Great views of the river and the ocean from almost everywhere.
The city is a mixture of the glory recovered after the earthquake in 1755 and colonies lost during the last years (Angola, Mozambique, Trimor, Goa, Cabo verde, ...). Hope you will love it as I did.
