Hi there
My name is Don Burgess and I live in Australia, my home town is called Shepparton which is in the State of Victoria.
I have only started to travel overseas since 2000 and have found that I should have started many years ago, but i'm trying to make up for it now, my page will grow as I get time and will include places from Australia as well as my overseas trips.
Well i hope that you all enjoy my travel photos and tips, I have enjoyed making them for you and hopefully you will enjoy them as well. Below you will find some of the best things that I have seen and done while away on my trips.

Phuket Island is a wonderfull place, but you will soon find that a two week trip is not long enough. A month would be just about right i think.
We where told that going in the low season between May and October is not a good time of year to travel to Phuket, too hot, too much rain and not much sunshine.
we hardly had any rain and we saw loads of sunshine, it was hot but nothing a few cold beers couldn't fix.
Also all the stores where out to bargin with you, not many people about ment that there was more room and less crowds, no waiting in lines at resturants etc.
Everything seemed less rushed and people had more time for you, beside i don't think that I would have enjoyed being there with four times the number of people to contend with.
And the best thing of going in the low season is the really really really cheap accommodation rates.
Every thing in Phuket has recovered from the sunarmia and all thats missing is you, so plan a trip to this wonderfull island

The Cook Islands trip was fantastic, even though its only a small island about 32 klms in total around via the coast road, there is still heaps of things to see and do, you won't get bored unless you want too. So jump on a plane and treat your self to some paradise.
The local people are very friendly and have a wonderfull smile.

Bangkok is a blast, loved it, big bold and busy. Carn't wait to go back next year and see what i missed this trip, what i did see was pretty impressive.
From the markets to the Cobra Show and the late night girly shows, yeh I know what your thinking, but everyone should go to one at lest once. So jump into my Bangkok Site and enjoy what i did.

This was my fist overseas Holiday and it was all i hoped it would be, the people are friendly, there's plenty to do and the food was the best, cheap lobstor's yummo. So sit back and check out Vanuatu

The Gold Coast is in Queensland and has something for everyone, from big bright city lights to small sandy coves, no matter what you want to do its all there on the Gold Coast. On this trip to the Gold Coast we hired a Houseboat for 10 days. We have been to the Gold Coast many time before but have allways stayed in motels etc, so being on the water looking in was fantastic, so do you and your family a favor and hire a houseboat for your next holiday.

Welcome to the land down under, here you find that Australia has a lot to offer the traveller, we have everything from great snow fields to long white sandy beaches with palm trees to the biggest deserts anywhere, large cities and small country towns where you can do anything your heart desires.
But don't take my word for it come on down, share a coldie with yah best mate and throw a shrimp on the barbie.
