I took an organised tour shortly after the Luxor massacre. It was a great time to be in Egypt. Security was tight everywhere and the local people couldn't do enough for the tourists. The Red Sea offers fabulous diving. My only regret was not seeing any of ancient Egypt so that will have to wait until my next trip.

I am going to travel to Egypt from 4/5 to 4/18, and heard about many comments about baksheesh. Hope I can cope with the situation well. :-)
