"Pisa" Pisa by phil_uk_net
Pisa Travel Guide: 1,384 reviews and 3,892 photos
In 1993 I answered an ad in Time Out magazine to share a farmhouse in Tuscany. I had never done this before or been on a vacation with complete strangers.
I arranged to meet my new friends in Pisa but got there a few days ealier so I could explore Pisa. It was not my best idea. Like in France, everyone in Italy has a vacation during August. Pisa was deserted apart from the tourists and pretty boring.
- Pros:There's a famous tower
- Cons:Not much happening in August
- In a nutshell:Has one of the world's most famous buildings

I've never been to Pisa but wish to see the tower before it falls to the ground...hehe.
Your weather was so nice on your visit! Mine was cold and rainy!
Too bad you didn't enjoy it.
Have you heard the divine male choire in the chapel? I was in nirvana while listening to it!!! though my Pisa trip was no more than 3 hrs long, but maybe it's enough? :)))
I don't know about you, but I see two towers in the photo :) The pics have a certain "retro" look that brings back nostalgia. I would love to hear more about your farmhouse sharing experience.
You were thin during those times, Phil;-) hahah..nice to see some pix a decade ago;-)
Hey...your tower's up! Now off to San Gimignano...
