"Good Place to Pause on your I-70 drive" Wilson State Park by yooperprof

Wilson State Park Travel Guide: 2 reviews and 6 photos

Driving across Kansas on I-70? Wilson State Park is a good place to pause. It features an Army Corps of Engineers Lake, and some interesting sandstone formations down near the water. It's at exit 206, SR 232, about 45 miles west of Salina.

And it's right on the way to fascinating Lucas, the Grassroots Arts Capital of Kansas!

Follow the winding (but not yellow-brick) road. . .

Unfortunately, there's not a lot of shade at Wilson State Park.

I'm proud to be the first to leave my mark on this page. We've got something in common, Chet. We both write about little out of the way places no one else seems to visit.
