Lock and Dam # 11: a view from the appropriately named Eagle Point Park. Unfortunately, I didn't see any eagles when I was there. Maybe I'll be lucky next time. The Mississippi River is a major flyway for our majestic avian friends.
According to the 2000 census, the city of Dubuque has a population of 57,686. It is the seat of Dubuque County, and home to the University of Dubuque, Clarke College, Loras College, and the Wartburg Theological Seminary.

We're heading for Dubuque in a few weeks and will be there 3 days. Can't wait.
This might have been the friendliest place I've ever visited. Wish it wouldn't have been so cloudy during my time here though. Oh well, I'll have to go back.
Dubuque is a nice place. Used to go over there for band festivals in high school.
