Frederiksberg reminds me of one of those "beef advertisements" - you know, the ones that go: "Beef = real food for real people." Well, Frederiksberg Kommune is "real Denmark for real people."

Anyone can go to Copenhagen and visit Tivoli, Christiania, and the Little Mermaid. But only the real cognoscenti of travel will make it to Frederiksberg. This is the home of the fascinating palace of King Frederik VII, who bravely commanded his own personal yahct while sailing up and down the streams and ponds of his personal park.

And they sell beer in Frederiksberg! Good beer, too. Centrally located in the Kommune, Vinstue 90 is a pilgrimage site for the lover of slow beer.

And I could write a whole novel about Cafe Intime - and I probably will! My Frederiksberg page is going to reveal a true and real picture of Danish urban life that is a little off the beaten path, but entirely worth seeing and experiencing.
