Central London hotel ideally situated for British Museum, University of London, Oxford Street, etc. Smallish rooms, but certainly not the smallest in London. Some with showers, loo; others without. Good breakfast.

Many residence halls affiliated with the University of London offer basic inexpensive accomodations in the heart of Bloomsbury. I've had good summer experiences at John Adams Hall. When I say basic, I mean very basic indeed, but this is London, and you get what you pay for. If you are just looking for a bed, a desk, and a teasmade in your room, with the bathroom/shower down the hall, this is the place for you. Be sure to bring your own flipflops for the showers!
Unique Qualities: John Adams House is located in a beautiful Regency Terrace in Bloomsbury.

This was the view from my bedroom window at John Adams Hall. I've used pictures of this building to explain the principles of townhouse design in London in the late 18th and early 19th centuries.
