France and Germany Meet Here
I had the great pleasure of staying in Strasbourg for a weekend in the summer of 2002. It's a place I definitely want to return to! The city has a great appeal to those of us for love borders, because it is a place which bears with pride the history of its location between France and Germany. My friends call it either the most Germanic French city, or the most Frenchified German city in the world. A fitting place for the European parliament, certainly.

Nice little page, Chet! Strasbourg looks like my kind of place -- hope to visit someday.
Such a beautiful city...and incredible church. They were restoring it when we were there and it was covered w/ scaffolding. thanks for showing me the gorgeous results.
We loved our visit here, a few years back!
What an incredible Cathedral. The detail is stunning. I love the medieval look of the city. The govt buildings are so modern in comparison. I enjoyed Amboise as well... lovely.
Wonderful pictures and good infos! Strasbourg is such a great city to visit... and I wished I had more time when I was there.
Looks like those houses are leaning towards the streets...
