Daingerfield State Park is one of my favorite state parks. It's not a very big place. For what it lacks in size, it makes up for in quality. The camp-sites are well-kept...with sites for tents, campers, and so on.... There are some hiking trails which aren't too long, but that's ok. The trail that circles the lake is nice walk. The real attraction is the lake...it's clear, unpolluted, and great for swimming and. Daingerfield State Park is found between Dallas and Shreveport, Louisiana...about 2.5-3 hours east of Dallas by car.
