Getting TO/AROUND: Used the train for getting to and leaving Paris. SNCF. http://www.sncf.com/ Metro! I never got lost on the Metro...can't say the same for the London Underground. http://www.ratp.fr/ Walking is another good way to get around. And, it's a good way to really see the city. On my last night in Europe, I was without a hotel/hostel. Instead of running around trying to find a place to stay...I stayed at Orly airport in Paris...that's where I was flying out of the next day. The airport was pretty much deserted at night...except for some armed guards and some people arguing downstairs, but it was worth it.
