  High time I finished my tour of Spain with you! I enjoyed this glimpse of Madrid, a city I have never visited myself. You seem to have packed a fair amount into your brief time in the city :-)

  Even if your visit was short it sounds like you had a nice time in Madrid. I have never been there but hope to visit one day to see the impressive Plaza Mayor. And great you saw some of the Three Kings Day celebrations.

  Glad to learn, Glenn, that you, too, enjoyed Madrid. Many people "bad mouth" it , but Allan and I really enjoyed it. Loved reading about your impressions. You covered lots in a short period of time.

  Thank you Glenn for bringing back sweet memories about this beautiful city full of attractions! My visit was very short so I missed a lot of them, including the Almudena Cathedral. May be next time...

  Great page! I like cities with impressive architecture and great in-city public transportation -- so Madrid is definitely on my list of cities that I hope to visit someday.

  We could have done with some of your winter weather - it was sooo hot when we were in Madrid last - June 2005. Stayed on Grand Via which made taking daily siestas easy, and they made the heat bearable. Enjoyed returning via your page. leyle

  Glad you enjoyed your stay in Madrid, even if it was more of an afterthought. I spent some time there in the 1960s and got to like it quite a bit. My memories of Barajas Airport aren't so good, though. Had a long wait there for our flight to Mozambique.
