"Amazing Natural Bridge" Puente del Inca by Bwana_Brown

Puente del Inca Travel Guide: 16 reviews and 43 photos

Located in the deep valley of the original Uspallata route over the Andes mountains between Argentina and Chile, the natural rock arch and hot springs at Puente del Inca (Inca Bridge) are an amazing sight! We were on the third and final leg of our 2-week trip to Argentina when we were treated to this wonder as part of a day-trip tour from Mendoza to the top of the Andes at the Chilean border.

This day-trip was one of the highlights of our entire Argentinian adventure, and Puente del Inca, at an elevation of 2880-m (9440-ft), was only one of the marvels that we were priviliged to experience.

This photo shows the natural rock bridge over the muddy and fast-flowing Cuevas River, overshadowing a now-abandoned spa that is surrounded by the yellow sulphurish deposits that leach out of the mineral springs located here. Some people walking on the bridge will give you an idea of the size of this natural wonder!
