As part of my one-month long trip back to Canada at the end of my first Zambian "tour of duty", I spent a few days on the Mediterranean coast in the beautiful city of Tunis while we were enroute between Egypt and Morocco. Photo taken in downtown Tunis at one of their many small parks - not too busy as you can see!

The Ruins of Carthage looks fanscinating. You've seen some wonderful places that we get to enjoy! Thanks for sharing!
Glenn its always interesting to see what places looked like a while back. And the changes that have happened since. You must have great memories of these adventures.
Nice to see Tunisia as it looked then. It may not be so nice any longer with all the package tours going there, also from Poland.
Just spend 1 day in Tunisia recently while on a cruse. It's interesting to see what your impressions of 30 years ago were. Nice!
great days - odd - i was watching a doco about Churchill last night and found out Tunisia was where Carthage was.
I really enjoy reading about your visit in Africa 30 years ago and to see how it looked like at that time! Must have been such a great experiense!
Ah, interesting trip after your Africa years :-) I think, you have been quite lucky to see Karthago without todays' masses :-)
I was in Tunisia a year ago. This page brought back memories of a great place.
30 years is quite some time. Interesting to see what remains of Carthago. I remember my latin teacher telling about that roman senate that kept repeating at every meeting: "Ceterum censeo ..." (and I say it once more) "Carthago must be destroyed"
What a lovely old pictures Glenn! I also visited this place in september 2004 and I still like remeber it.
