Aigle is located in the heart of the vineyard region of Switzerland. Vineyards literally cover the village and its gentle mountain slopes. It is a beautiful little village. The perfect location for a quiet afternoon of walking and exploring.
This beautiful little castle is the Chateau Aigle. I first saw it from the train window on my way to Les Diablarets. You catch the train to Les Diablarets at the small station in Aigle. The villiage did not look very impressive when I arrived at the station. But when the train started moving through the village I began to see the charm of the area and knew I had to take an afternoon away from Les Diablarets to explore this little village. |
