The Strand Palace Hotel is a great choice for location, price, and comfort. I traveled to London and booked the hotel along wtih my flight at discounted rates for the off season in January. I paid $800 for rountrip airline tickets from Baltimore to London including the price of the hotel for four days. Each morning the hotels offers a full English breakfast. There are three bars in the hotel for late night parties with friends, or just a quiet intimate drink with someone special. Unless the VTers are in town. There are no quiet moments in the hotel when this fun loving rowdy bunch takes over. The Strand could not have been a better choice. The staff was helpful and pleasant. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Picadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square and many other sites are within walking distance of the hotel.
