Oslo

Although the smallest of the Scandanavian capitols and the oldest of the Scandanavian capitols, Olso is Norways largest and leading city. It is surrounded by beautiful mountains and long fjords.

Many thanks to VT member Ruffin who has been very kind and helped me edit the information on this page.

Great Page Larry. Brings back some memories of my trip to Oslo. Also enjoyed Homenkollen, but still can't imagine why anyone would want to fling themselves of a huge ramp, at those speeds on what are essentially two planks! Thanks for sharing. Brian

Thanks for the comments on my homepage about Fox News. Your writing about Oslo is very interesting. I was surprised by how recent the first university in Oslo was established--more than 100 years AFTER Harvard.

Hi Sam. The long funny looking figure is a statue of Leif Juster. He was an actor, comedian and started edderkoppen theatre during the occupation. He died in 1995. Having acted all through the nazi ocupation with clear hints that he didn't like the nazis.
