I've spent a night in the capital Maputo, however I've been back for a day trip since.

Previously known as Lorenzo Marques, it has since deteriorated in stature, but is slowly returing to its former glory (once upon a time compared to places like Rio de Janeiro) with the recently finished Maputo Corridor - an extension and improvement of the N4 highway from South Africa.
