"Unbelievable - Wertheim am Main on VT!" Wertheim by catweazle
Wertheim Travel Guide: 18 reviews and 71 photos
One very important thing to know about Wertheim: It is not in Bavaria!!
Politically it is part of Baden-Württemberg, the inhabitants consider themselves either as Franconians or Badeners. Wertheim used to be called Badic-Sibiria, as it is far away from the capital Stuttgart and only the River Main is the border to Bavaria.
Having made that clear (i hope ;-), let's move on to the next chapter.
Wertheim is a really charming small town with a lot to see and to do. so if you come here for a weekend-you're welcome! but be prepared to share the town with a lot of other visitors.
You can reach Wertheim by ship, by car, by bike, by train and, as it's only one hours drive to the south-east from Frankfurt am Main, also by plane.
