Adelaide was a nice respite after running around like a maniac through the rest of the country. I met in person and stayed with a cyber-friend and her family, in Adelaide. I met her online the year before. The met me at the coach station (I traveled from Sydney to Adelaide on Greyline...I think...a 23 hour bus ride. I'm sure I won't bus it like that again.)
Adelaide is charming and quiet after noisy Sydney. I got out to the burbs, since I was staying with friends and I have to say, it was SO NICE to stay in once place for more than a few days!
Walking around downtown on St. Patrick's day was fun: there was live music that was ok and lots of people just kickin' it, drinking green ale and wearing green hats.
Hyde park was lovely, I really liked the pigeons with crests. And the wedding that photographed there was very posh. Even the kids had fun. |
