The vast expanse of land reaching from the Pacific to the Atlantic Ocean (and as far north as the Artic Ocean) makes Canada, like the USA, one of the most diversified countries you'll ever visit. Each province can take pride in its magnificent scenary and diversity. Because my mother was Canadian, I had been to Quebec several times as a child, but could not remember much of what I saw. However, she spent part of her own childhood in British Columbia and I have always wanted to see at least a small part of it. British Columbia can boast of the beauty of its mountains, river and its coastline as well. While I wish I could have traveled north to Whistler and driven the Trans Canada Highway along the Fraser River and through the Fraser Canyon and the Cascade Mountains, my time in British Columbia was spent in Vancouver. Vancouver is a city of many faces.
