Venice is like no other place you will ever see. You can't take a step without running into some sort of historical landmark or festival. Every time I visited it was a good experience and I hope to go back there some day. They say that Venice is slowly sinking into the sea. I don’t think the world would allow that happen. Navigating Venice is rough; it is a maze of winding corridors, streets, back alleys and dead ends. There are lots of little shops down every turn. There is a couple of neighboring “islands" that also have some sights and stuff to offer. Around February there is a 2 week festival called Carnivale that is a sight to see. Locals dress in fancy costumes with plaster masks. Tourists get their face painted and wear stupid hats, like me and the boys below. Some of these pics were 'borrowed" from Big_Damian's page.
