I have recently been immersed into Dubai by proxy. I am sure I would have visited the UAE at some point, but moving a loved one there sped up the process. Let me explain: I have lived and worked in Doha since August of 2005. I left my fiance in the states for this job but we did not seperate. After 4 months I missed her so much that I asked her to move to Dubai to be closer to me. Your thinking... why not move her to Doha? well Doha is a city that is, well, boring. So she found an american university in Dubai and I can visit her on the weekends! Now Dubai is a place where I can have mini-vacations every month. |
