Restaurant Name: Nile City Restaurant
My first impression is a WOW... seating on the floating restaurant with a perfect view of Nile and Cairo skyline is really awesome experience. While on the other side is a great view of Cairo Tower on Gezira Island. I was really enjoying outdoor view until Gerard decided us to move to another much shady table as he complaining the glorious hot sun.
Favorite Dish: Aiskh also known as Pitta, normally served as part of your starter with fabulous dips from fresh yogurt and chives, sesame seed dip, or humus. Grilled Chicken Kebab - taste of mix spices, coriander, lime and garlic. The most delicious grilled kebab ever tasted. The only thing is that, most of dishes seems served with chips (im not sure is this a trend in Cairo or what)Cost of the food is fairly cheap for UK standard, a can of Coke only cost 60ptrs and the bread only cost 70ptrs per piece and chicken only around LE15 if you to compare GBP1 equals to LE10

Restaurant Name: Felfela Restaurant
Felfela Restaurant is Cairo famous chain restaurant and apparently only available at two places. One in El Tahrir and one at Giza so happens that just few minutes walk from Le Meridien Cairo. You can actually seat at the terrace enjoy your lunch accompanied with a great view of Pyramids. Do follow up with my next few tips for Dinner at Falafel Restaurant.
Favorite Dish: Like most VT members suggested to try the taamiya falafel! It should be a must try and must eat when you visiting Cairo. Its was truly delicious, full of spice fragrance and I even ate it as my main meal of my first night in the City... Oh..i miss the falafel. its actually a fava bean deep fried (somehow they did it dry and not oily and crispy the moment you bite it and it really melt in your mouth..its difficult to describe until you eat it your self.] Cost of the food itself very cheap. My 1st nite take away meal Taamiya Falafel - LE6 for two pieces Kofta Sausage on bread - LE8 just like a kebab, but with tasty lamb sausage. GBP 1 equals to LE10.

Restaurant Name: Felfela Restaurant
Again, ambience at the Felfela Restaurant very cosy and you can choose from air-con dining area accompanied with mini fountains to create a sense of tranquility or you can dine outside the terrace, caireness way of enjoying supper with some 'not so loud' arabic music, again you can enjoy pyramids view especially in the night coz on the other side of the pyramids the giza town, between 6 - 9pm sound and light shows operates daily, the benefits of the light shine upon the other side where we were staying and eating. Besides that there is a personal waite or butler you call it will come and serve you from the beginning to the end. Please give some good baksheehm they work very hard over there : D
Favorite Dish: Typical egyptian meal you shoud start is: 'AISKH'Also known as pitta bread, eat it with sesame & yogurt dip or humus dip. Restaurant Name: Andres restaurant
Wow...amazing...first impression i get when entering the restaurant. The main great feature of the restaurant is the open air or 'al fresco' dining concept, surrounded with shady egyptian trees and plants. Perfect for the mediteranean weather.
Favorite Dish: What to orderAndrea Restaurant main features is barbecue & grilled as main course. You can either order fish, chicken or lamb , all equally delicious and tasty. StarterNormally begins with the freshy baked 'Aiskh' served on a basket Cost : 70Ptrs each Served with wonderful sauces and dips Just like Tapas, served variety of vegetables and among I ate and recommended is: Beetroot Salad, Cabbage Salad, Asparagus Mix SaladThey served at least 5 variety of vegetables dishes per table which only cost LE10 as equally to GBP1. Once you cleared your starter, main course served straight away. Main Course2 huge portion from skewer and cutting through straight on your plate. And I ate the chicken while Gerard tried the fish. I must it was so delicious and i wish I can have it again. Again Main course served with chips and slices of tomatoes. Meat or Fishes Grilled - LE20 (isnt it afforable?) DessertI was expecting something sweet and pastry like, but my dessert for that afternoon is Orange, it was a perfect choice of dessert for the glorious hot sun. It was juicy and tasty, eat till my heart is content. All in all, meal does cost more than LE50 per person.

Another interesting sight is to see the Kitchen, your food behind the scene. You can actually see egyptian ladies making and baking the bread. As well as the men busy grilling meats and fishes, plenty of orders.
