ASSALAMUALAIKUM...AL QAHIRAH INTRO - Like many of arcticles or tips, we all know that Cairo is largest city in the Africa Continent, amount of pollution and heavy traffic are among characteristic of the city. Yet, millions of tourist comes to see and witness the famous structure, also known to be one the seven wonders of the world; The Giza Pyramids.
Perfect way to visit Cairo and the pyramids is to start with the famous Egyptian Museum. Is where all most ancient egyptian collections includes Tutankhamun sacrophagus and the mummy rooms.
Then it will be make more sense to visit the Pyramid after absorbing some true facts and easier to link your unsolve puzzle rather than visit the Pyramid straight away...'Hey, That's the pyramid' *quick snap* ok thats it'
However, visiting Cairo is just not about the pyramids and ancient egyptian history, it has so much to offer from cultural and lifestyle experience. From markets to belly dancing, and etc, you will eventually appreciate the true experience of the city.

WHEN TO GO I personally recommend the winter months, perfect climate to visit the city, its warm and pleasant and can be quite cold in the evening. June to August can reached to 40 degrees, it might be too hot even for the sun worshipper. Summer also not a good time to visit, group tours will be the major headache for some of us, causes crowds and less privacy.
Besides the climate, Ramadhan month can be very inconvenient as most of the shops tend to close early and even so, you might find difficulty to eat in restaurant in the evening as a lot of people and is their breaking fast time. Bright sight! shops and streets will be much quieter, human and vehicle traffic slow down a bit. (info courtesy from Ahmed Hussein)
