WHAT DO I THINK OF PARIS? | River Seine in the Afternoon |
PARIS, FRANCE - SEP 2006 - Bienvennue! My last visit to the city felt like my first time visit to Paris. It was very different experience, getting from London to Paris by Eurostar is so CONVENIENT, relax, and more time to spend to compare my previous trip. Well, the whole objective of this trip; go on top of Eiffel Tower - which i ended up queuing for 3 hours, though it was an tiring event but view from the top was AMAZING! BREATHTAKING!, worth the hassle i would say! Had a brilliant duck for lunch at Chez Clement highly recommended for Non french speaking and of course visit to Arch De Triumphe is a MUST especially at dusk, one of most fantastic view I ever seen. I shall to return to 'Paree' again! Bon Voyage!

WHAT I KNOW ABOUT PARIS? MENTIONED about Paris, straight to my head is the Eiffel Tower which built by Gustave Eiffel himself due to some convention that time if not mistaken. Anyway, The tower has been a symbol since ever feature in Superman movie. People said is a romantic city, of course you and your love one goes there for holiday but its a different thing together with family trip.
Well, Yeah i admit there is a little romanticism behind the arhictecture and the Parisian. Not just quite the crossaint itself but the language and think made them proud. Plenty of historical and parks to visit, and one must see during their trip in Paris is the Arch de Triumphe, the Royal Palace of Justice, Napolean Tomb, Concorde Royale and Notre Dame. The rest you may skip and come back again.
Crepes is famous and obvious in every stall available at most touristic places. Champ Elysees, famous shopping avenue, i think one of the best in the world, is unique and wide. Night time can be very loving especially spending time seating down at the al fresco avenue with cup of cafe.________________________________ _____________________________________ |
HOW WAS THE TRIP? FABULOUS CITY! That's my impression of Paris, never ever thought there is so much to see and yet no time for me to explore.
I went to Paris twice. First trip was in Oct 2003, by coach from Victoria station. That time i took for the reason of ticket cost. During that time, budget airline just keeping to europe market. Anyway journey was terrible, i cant sleep for the entire journey but then get to stop at the Calais port and board on SeaFrance ferry which take less than 1 hour. It was night time, all in darkness but managed to feel some cold seabreeze in the late autumn. Lots of things to see onboard. Then another journey at least 5 hours to reach Paris that was abt 6am. Early very early.
Second trip was just recently in May 2005. Flight on Easyjet was easy but the flight time is nightmare all of us need to get to Luton Airport at least around 12am as there is no more bus service from Finchley Road until 4am which we do not want to take a risk as the flight departure is at 7am. Reached also quite early at Charles De Gaulle. Amazing airport. |

Nemorino Thu Jul 27, 2006 23:13 UTC Nice view from that hotel! And it's great that you could get the staff rate there. | CALSF Tue Oct 18, 2005 20:00 UTC Merci mille fois for the comments re: Paris. Your page is pretty good too. I know that if I were living in the UK, the Eurostar would have to start awarding me frequent mileage points as I'd be in Paris every weekend I'm sure. :)) |
