WHAT DID I THINK ABOUT KANDY | Amazing view of Kandy Hills |
FIRST thing, FABULOUS. Kandy is not that cool as what i thought. But i fascinated most is the culture and all based on buddhism as that is the majority of the Kandy people are in faith. Sceneries is fantastic, not much of development eventhough Kandy is one of the most visited town in Sri Lanka.

WHEN WAS THE TRIP BUY 1 FREE 1 ( 4 DAY PACKAGE IN MARCH 2002)
The trip was a bonus for me. It was Sri Lanka Airlines first attempt to promote their airlines since the The Tamil Tigers guerilla. We took this opportunity to come for holiday which tour packages include Kandy.
We reach at Kandy by bus (a journey takes 3 hours at least and few stopover). Before we arrived in the pre-book hotel, we managed to have lunch at one of the Kandy Hill famous buffet restaurant.________________________________ __________________________ |
WHAT I KNOW I KNOW most about Kandy is most visited town besides Colombo and the main reason is the Temple of sacred Tooth Relic of Buddha. It can be very crowded especially during the festival month. Gems (saphire) which is well known here and a must buy trip. We visited one of the factory produce gems with a full video guide on how on earth this people managed to digged the precious stones.
Eventhough i didnt managed to enter to see the relic but Kandy did shine a lot because of its cultural scene. Singing and Dancing of their National Songbird keep playing in my mind. The local cuisines at the very best of height in Kandy make my journey worthwhile.________________________________ ___________________________ |
