St. Thomas certainly wasn't what I had expected. Sure I've been to other islands and possibly more beautiful in my eyes. But when I was arriving, even still in the airplane I didn't get that feeling of excitment because when I looked out the window I wasn't impressed at all. I couldn't pin point what seemed to be the problem but thought of course I'm going to make the best of it. And that I did and ended up having a wonderful time once I checked out of my original hotel. Check my "Stay a Way" tip in accomodation.

I lived in St. Thomas for 8 years. Sad you went to Megan's Bay just to say you've been there. FYI, the beach is only .8 miles long. You might have enjoyed it more had you not spent all your time "ignoring everything around me", except for the 32 palms.

The Bolongo Bay is also all inclusive, and I will be traveling there in a week to get married. Any thoughts on where or what tour to take to go snorkeling?

Our family went to St Thomas once. Of the trip I remember a shell too deep for me to dive to get and the Banana Daquiri at Mountain Top!
