Wales is such a beautiful country, with a wonderful history, beautiful architecture in its castles & ruins, fantastic beaches & the gorgeous countryside speaks for itself!

Me, age 5, on Llandudno beach

I was actually born in north Wales & lived there until I was 7, then my family returned to England. I did not return to Wales for another 24 years, until 2002.

I had very romantic memories of the beaches, Great Orme & of course Snowdonia, which I used to be able to see from my bedroon in Llandudno. Slightly anxious about breaking the spell of my childhood memories, I need not have been. It was just as I had remembered it to be.......................................
