I shall call this area the Golan Heights, apart from being much easier to write, it is what most people will know it by. The Arabic name for the area is Muhafazat al Qunaytirah. The name change happened after the 6 day war of 1967 when the boundarys were changed and this area fell within present day Israel although VT have situated this area in Syria.

| | The Golan Heights or Muhafazat al Qunaytirah is situated on the north eastern tip of Israel, sitting snuggly next to Lebanon & Syria. Here you will find Crusader castles, Druze villages, pretty scenery & even a ski resort!
In the winter this area is very popular with skiers & people seeking fun in the snow. In the summer its a great place to get to slighty cooler climes of the summer heat.
