Sea of Galilee

There are many restaurants and cafes in Tiberias which line the waterfront, over looking the Sea of Galilee.

I used to go to some of them & sit and write my letters home, when I was backpacking out there and then again once I was on the Kibbutz (see my travelogues).

Its beautiful on a quiet day, (not that there are very many in Tiberias) you get a lot of inspiration for writing, with the views so lovely.

Kibbutz Dining room - Israel

Kibbutz Dining room

Falafal Street Stalls: Falafal

Falafal is the more like the fayre for backpackers (rather than the Seven Arches !) and luckily it is very yummy.

Falafal is veggie made with chick peas and herbs, it is served in pitta bread and salad with the choice of humous, tahini or a red spicy sauce I can not remember the name of.

You can also have the Pitta wrapping full of chips in some stalls,

I do not have any photos of a falafal stall, so this is a photo of the Kibbutz dining room instead (well, we did also eat falafal here!) (~_~)

Its a great cheap meal
