Buckfastleigh is a pretty little mill town sitting on the banks of the River Dart. The biggest draw to the town is the impressive Buckfast Abbey & gardens. Situated just south of Dartmoor, between Plymouth & Exeter & within easy reach of the South Devon beaches, its a great base or ideal for a visit if your passing by the area.

A very special place with the old style train station. The otter sanctuary and the butterfly farm make it worth the visit. Thank you for sharing !

A great page on this beautiful spot, Nicola! That old train station and it's cars looks very picturesque and your description of the train ride made me want to head for England immediately! Looks like I will have to drift further south on my next trip!
