| King Sancho the 1st (& Princess Freya!) |
Silves was once the Moorish capital of the Algarve region.
The town itself is not very big, with a population of less than 11 thousand. Most visitors who come here come to see the Se (Cathedral) & Silves Castle
We spent a lovely morning & lunchtime here wandering around Silves Castle & lovely old cobbled streets |
