Directions:

Walk along the canal from the Vaporetto pier, to the Main square, its so small you really cant miss it

Santa Maria Assunta is Venice's first cathedral, it was first built in the 7th century & then rebuilt in the 11th. Inside are beautiful byzantine Mosaics, pictures include Mary, and the Last Judgement.
