I could not get over how close the Pyramids at Giza were so close to Cairo. They are wonderfully majestic, standing proudly at the edge of the Desert. The Sphinx was surprisingly smaller than I imagined it to be. We had a really fun day at Giza see my tips for details.
It Is thought the Pyramids were completed by 2600BC, They have stood the test of time very well. |

srferchic31 Tue Apr 3, 2007 02:56 UTC Great page! I spent last spring in Egypt. What an adventure. I was amazed at the enormity of the pyramids. Spent some time in Hurghada, Luxor, Aswan as well. Fabulous trip. Enjoyed your pictures and stories. Blue Skies! | Paul2001 Thu Jul 28, 2005 20:52 UTC Great page Nicola. I have heard stories like the cameljacker before. I had the worse problem with hawkers at Giza compared to anywhere in Egypt or the Middle East. | themajor Sun Jun 26, 2005 23:22 UTC Extraordinary! Just like the sphinx, my nose and beard are slowly wearing away too! Next time you pop over there Nicola would you mind smuggling back a few buckets of sand for Hove beach? Toodle-pip! | Toyin Wed Jun 8, 2005 11:22 UTC Excellent naratives, love to be here in future, its a must see.. Regards. |
