I still get a tingling feeling in my back when I re-live the memory of the first time I walked down through the Siq to the Treasury ( Khazneh).
We were lucky enough to have 2 days in Petra.
Our second day in Petra, it seemed we were the only people in there, for a while we probably were, as we were the first people in at 6am, we had the magical place to ourselves.
Petra, which means "rock" in Greek, is really worth travelling an awfully long distance to visit.
If you can try not to visit with a tour group, you can go in quiet times, so you can really explore what Petra has to offer and soak up its amazing atmosphere.
