Getting TO/AROUND: Tip: Get an international drivers licence. I only had my US licence and while they did rent me the car anyway, they said it would be a hassle if I got a ticket or accident without one...

I rented one for 3 days but picked up in Patras and dropped off in Athens so there was an extra us$65 charge. Total was about us$230 for 3 days incl. insurance, etc. Kind of expensive but the only way to get around this area since trains don't go most places.
