| One of the immortals giving grains to the people |
I found myself in Guangzhou (formerly Canton) when I accompanied my sister there, who was adopting a baby. While it is one of China's largest and most Western cities, it retains much of the beauty and culture I associate with old China. The city is 2,000 years old and according to legend was founded by five immortals on five goats bringing bumper harvests |
