A SMALL DOG( & HIS MUM'S) GUIDE TO KESWICK & AREA Everybody has heard of the lake district, we might not be sure where it is ( its in cumbria in the north of england) but we have all heard that it is beautifull. My mum decided to take me and my dad there this January .
We arrived in the dark (along many windy twisty roads-not to be reccomended), so didnt get to see the famed scenery till the next morning- what a treat we were in for.
To say that the scenery is stunning is an understatement, wherever you look are breathtaking views, a simple stroll to the shops is a visual treat!
It was January so it was cold and wet, but that didnt detract from the views , in fact the mists just accentuated the beauty.
Everywhere you went there were walks and trails- from easy lakeside strolls to hikes up to catskills. A walkers paradise (and even more of a paradise for a little yorkshire terrier). |

Keswick and Derwentwater are brilliant for good walks and scenery, definately my favourite place to go in the Lakes! Haven't been for soooo long, will have to this summer! Thanks for the tips. |
