Ullswater for peace and quiet | Oz & his dad having a rest |
The lake district is a stunningley beautiful part of the u.k, but unfortunately it is a victim of its own success, often a visit to the lake district can be marred by the crowds-not exactly the peace and quiet you were seeking,However Ullswater manages to somehow escape the madness that sometimes descends on places like windemere and keswick, possibly because speed boats etc are not allowed on ullswater, maybe its because it is slightly further north, whatever the reason it makes ullswater a much nicer place to be if you want peace, and your idea of a wild night out is a couple of pints after a nice long walk. |
