Though I've been living in South Korea for almost 2 years, Thunder Bay will always, always be home. "The whole object of travel is not to set foot on foreign land; it is at last to set foot on one's own country as a foreign land" - G.K. Chesterton They're wrong when they say you can never go home again, but it isn't always easy. It's hard to believe you can experience culture shock when returning to a place you've known for most of your life. Friends, family, and a well stocked cooler make it so much more enjoyable. Situated at the tip of Lake Superior,Thunder Bay is rather remote and is best known for its outdoor attractions. Camp out beneath the stars, hike the Sleeping Giant, swim in Lake Superior, go skiing, skidooing, dog-sledding, fishing, hunting, berry picking... |

hi_kristen Sun Mar 29, 2009 21:59 UTC Thunder Bay no longer has the Flyers. The only team to watch is the University hockey team. They usually play to a crowd of 2000-3000 people. They are the Lakehead Thunderwolves. Tickets are $5 for students, $10 for adults. | skycase Wed Dec 31, 2008 09:50 UTC The Inntowner is shut down. | MURRA Thu Oct 16, 2003 15:07 UTC you not kidding that water is cold | KimberlyAnn Thu Jul 31, 2003 21:35 UTC We are sailing across Superior and will be docking in Thunder Bay, hopefully for Aug. 5 and 6th. I really appreciate the tip on Hoito. We have never tried it, but the pancakes have us convinced that we must enjoy a breakfast here. |
