Seoul is Korea's bustling, cosmpolitan capital, a hybrid of Korean traditions and modern trends: you can visit historic temples and gaze at towering glass skyscrapers; you can watch a traditional dance performance or a 3D Imax feature; you can sample food from every corner of the world. |
I love Seoul for its disparate parts, for the variety it offers travelers. Take advantage of the city's cultural events (especially "the lantern festival" right before Buddah's birthday), the wild nightlife, and the international cuisine, but don't forget that though Seoul may be the heart of Korea, it is still only one part of a very diverse whole. |
