"Schloss Neuschwanstein by Chamsa " a Schloss Neuschwanstein Travel Page by Chamsa

This famous castle of King Ludwig II. of Bavaria was erected between 1869 in 1886. The architect Eduard Riedel was supported by the theatre painter Christina Jank and the king himself. Rumors that the projects was built at public expense are not true! King Ludwig II. and after his death his family paid it themselves. True is that just a fraction of the original plans were realized. Even today some parts are not finished.
