The food was decent enough, but the service is what made it memorable. The friendly waiting staff were very attentive and helpful. The restaurant was warm and welcoming and the seats were comfortable.

Favorite Dish: I had duck, which was served with a kind of sweet potato mash.

You enter theatrically through heavy velvet drapes and once inside the cosy is furnished with plush armchairs in secluded alcoves with candles burning and opulent gold detailing along the bar. We spent the afternoon here and it had what I perceive to be a very French feel to it. By this standard it is quite smoky though.

Favorite Dish: We had pasta which we found to be very tasty, but a little expensive for what it was. This is a great place to just sit and pass the time of day though.

Well, this restaurant doesn't exactly epitomise Paris, but on our last day, after checking out of the hotel we had our luggage with us and some time to kill, so we headed over to Marne La Vallee where Disneyland Paris is located and had a nice leisurely lunch in the Disney Village. We weren't going to pay €40 for a few hours in Disney, but we could enter the Disney Village for nothing and we had a very enjoyable afternoon here. We were the only people there at 11.30am...most people turned up for lunch around 2pm so until then we had exclusive service and sole custody of the elephant we sat next to.

Favorite Dish: I had chili con carne and Rob had mixed grill. We both had monkey munchies for starter and some kind of chocolate dessert which I thought was going to finish me off!! We had most of the cocktails and loved them all...but we may have taken it a bit far with the liqueur coffees. Very filling and delicious.

Walk into any Parisan boulangerie to experience the wonderful croissant pain au chocolat as a breakfast treat. The breakfast in our hotel was not included in the price and we decided that fending for ourselves was definitely the way to go. A hot chocolate to drink went down very well too.

Busily absorbing Paris pages for a forthcoming visit - must get out with the camera at night. Last time I was there, the cabbie tried those stunts too.
