Getreidegasse - Salzburg's famous old shopping street. Many hand-made 'advertising signs' are placed above the expensive stores along the narrow and often overcrowded Getreidegasse. Even McDonald's has a hand-made metal sign, hanging in the ever-crowded Getreidegasse, which is quite funny.

The gardens were designed by Fischer von Erlach in 1690 to the orders of Archbishop Johann Ernst Thun; groups of sculptures, the weirdly humorous Dwarves' Garden, exquisitely planned flower beds, the maze and the "hedge theatre" are a joy for everyone.
