This is a wonderful destination to escape the European winter for a bit. Thats why in the touristic towns such as Puerto de la Cruz or La Americas, you will find more Brits and Germans than Spanish people. But there are also Tenerife's hidden gems, which are geniune and less touristy.
This island is extremely varied, you can go hiking or enjoying the beachlife, really a great place.
