Franken is a region in the north of Bavaria, famous for their wine.
I'd say Würzburg is the most beautiful place in Franken, while Nürnberg is the capital and biggest city.
Würzburg only has 120,000 inhabitants but is one of my favorite places in Germany with old architecture, beautiful churches and a nice atmosphere, due to many young students living in the city. |
