A city dominated by the Koln Dom.
A early trip up the Dom was a great way to get a feel for the city. Martin had managed to get us into the really nice Maritum hotel in the centre of town. Time was spent exploring the centre and trying out the various Rathaus' and beer saloons.
Even managed to fit in a visit to the ground of FC Cologne, which was being demolished on the day we went around it. I think we should have been wearing hard hats but then we tend to live on the wild side.
After the game we were lucky enough just to miss a run in with the local skinheads!. Others in our party were not so lucky and spent a few hours being chased around or in the safe custody of the local police. |
