Berlin is a very interesting place, and is well worth heading to for a weekend break. It has plenty of things to offer, historis sites like the Riechstag, Berliner Dom and The East Side Galleries - the old Berlin Wall to the many bars, restaurants and cafes.

It is large city which is ever changing. New buildings are being built all the time, whilst the old ones are being retored back to thier former glories.

The city has and excellent public transport system, busses, U-Bahn and S-Bahn...so much so that we didn't need to take a taxi once on our four day trip.

Highlights
My highlight of the trip has to be the Berliner Dom, which is a truley impressive cathedral both inside and out, closely followed by the Checkpoint Charlie Berlin Wall musuem.

Only a short stay of one night. We flew in and then hired a couple of minivans and drove into Poland for the game agaist LKS Lodz.

At the time every other vehicle on the road was a cement truck as there was so much reconstruction going on.

Spent four days over Easter 2005 in the city with my girlfriend Nic. We had a great time exploring the city...trying to get a idea of what the place must have been like before, during and after WWII.

Plenty of beer and sausages were obviously eaten.
